Seems like there is a bulb gone in my cd player, buttons 3 & 4 no longer light up. As well the light for the gear shifter seems to be gone as well. It is a 2000 Malibu. Can I easily fix these myself, any tips? What parts would I need?

Gear shifter should be easy. I don't think the lamps in CD player are repairable. Shifter indicator uses Bulb #194. Hopefully you can get at it just removing trim plate on console and you don't have to take out the whole console. Here is a picture I posted for someone else which has info on console and trim plate. The CD player are not repairable? Talk about bad design.

Well I think that the bulbs are likely soldered to circuit board and so would be difficult to repair without disassembling the radio - however that is based off looking at other GM radios. I really having looked at this specific radio before so I might be wrong.
