Good evening all. I am looking at buying a new 2004 FX4. Super Crew. The truck retails for $49,835 canadian. I am wondering what would be a fair price for this truck. Leather seats, deluxe mirror package, DVD system, audiophile, power adjustable pedals, tow package and well you get the picture, lol. If there is anyone out there that has bought one of these, could you please let me know where abouts i would be for a decent price. Also, is there any horry stories out there with these trucks? Thanks

I've been selling these trucks since they came out. Considering how loaded it is, the MSRP tells you what a fair price is considering all the equipment in it. But since i was in sales, i can help you a bit with some 'inside knowledge'. :naughty:

As far as a fair price to buy it, if you're thinking of a 5000 dollar discount before any applicable factory rebates, good luck finding a dealer that will give that. That's more than the dealer mark-up on the truck. 4000 off is more reasonable. There will be some negotiation of course, but considering you're getting the absolute best of all models (FX4 is nicer then Lariat in my opinion) and it's the best 1/2 tonne ever built, 4 grand off is a good buy. That means your price will be:

$45,835 Canadian, minus applicable factory incentives, plus applicable taxes and fees. I say this because i've been out of the loop for a bit and i dunno the incentive programs Ford has on. Fees will depend cash/finance/lease and of course tax. Nothing can be done about fees and taxes as they are dictated from those above the dealer (ie. 1st payment and security deposit on a lease...these are examples of fees) and of course taxes come the government, the dealership has no say.

That's the insider information i can give you, so i hope that helps you out. Any further questions or inquiries, please post back and i'll reply.

Congrats on the new truck! :smokin:

horry stories out there with these trucks?

Absolutely not. There is not ONE customer of mine that isn't thrilled with his/her '04 pickup. There are no recalls on the vehicle either. It's simply the best 1/2 tonne you can buy, and considering all you get in it it's also at the top of it's class for value.

Motor Trend's Truck of the Year

Most Fuel Efficient V8 1/2 tonne

Most Towing Capacity

Most room in the bed

Quietest and Smoothest Truck on the Market

Most low-end Torque (80% @1000RPM, 90% @1500RPM)

Insurance Institue Best Pick for Safety

That's just a few things. I could go on and on.

I TOOK THE PLUNGE!!!!!! :iceslolan :iceslolan :iceslolan I'll have to wait 2 weeks to get it, because of it being brought in from another dealer. I cant wait. 2 weeks is going to seem like a long time, lol. Couldnt get it down to $45, but i was close, Got it for 47. Which is around 3 grand off. Woulda been another grand off, but elected to go with command start, bug deflector and mudflaps, hehehehe. Once again Thanks... Maybe i'll post a pic when i get it.>>>>>>>>>PROUD

Why the hell would you want a DVD system in a truck? Trucks are meant for working.
