I replaced my ignition switch assembly for my 99 accord. Now the car doesn't start, it just crank and the green key on the dash is on every time.I called the honda dealer, they told me that the new keys have to be reprogramed. Have to tow the car $100.00 plus the programing of the key other $90.00.

Any help will be apreciated, Gil.

Just take your new ignition lock to a lock smith and have him rekey your old keys to the new lock so all your key match or if you have to get the car to the dealer for reprograming you can just get metal non coded key at a hardware store and tape the head of your non new immobilizer to old key to it so it reads the code and lets the car start and drive it to the dealer that way to have it reporgramed and 3rd option is have a T5 key cut at the dealer or locksmith with the ilco immoblizer copier cut a key with your new key but copy the code of the old key or you can just unscrew the keyring move it away from the lock and hang the old key in it start the car with new key and take it to the dealer or just pay the $100 towing :2cents:
