Hi, I have a 2001 F250 with a 7.3L diesel. And it just has recently started leaking a little diesel on the right side of the motor. I noticed it when i changed the oil the other day. Has anyone else had this similar trouble? Let me know.

Thanks
Mike

The fuel drain valve on the filter housing is not shut off completely. I find this ALL the time.

Hello Micheal,,

Just wondering if you found out what the problem was. I seem to be having the same problem. Please advise.

My 99 is leaking diesel on the right side , the drain valve is closed and it is still leaking. It seems to leak more when I let it idle for more than 10 min. If I drive it it wont leak for a while. I am wondering if the valve is going bad. The truck has 400,000 on it. Any ideas

Jerry,

Your ''91 has a different engine, same displacement, completely different design. You have a "lift pump" on the rt front side, and they are subject to leaks, as are the fitting seals, which are easily replaceable.
