I am new to this forum but thrilled to know that it exsist. My problem is this, when my car is in park and the air condition is on, the car idles rough, almost like when you get a cold shiver, its quick and sudden. It does not do this in any of the other gears when I run the air conditioner nor does it do this when it is in park and the air condition is not on. Any thoughts?

i see u got the same problem i do, but mine shuts the engine off....well..good luck finding answers, these peopledon't help

remember a/c puts extra load on ur engine, im not sure wot is wrong, but try revving ur engine a little and holdin it ther when idle wen u switch it on, and u wud probably find the engine wont die. At least ur not driving a manual car, just imagine.. if u put the clutch in, the engine might cut out! what year is your car? I'm assuming its over 10 years old? If its like only 5 years old, maybe u shud get it checked out!
