I had a friend redo my brakes on the Front End of my Toyoyta Tacoma. Since that time, I have had a rattelilng noice coming from the front brakes. The noise stops when i apply the breaks. What is the problem? It sounds as if the brakes are LOOSE and are hitting the edge u ntil I apply the brakes??????????

Probably missing shims. Take it apart and see what's missing.

Either the shims, or the new pads are the wrong thickness.
