Hello AF....This would be my first post here, so hopefully it works correctly. This is a Tamiya Honda S2000 that I built with a few modifications:

Manufacturer: Tamiya
Scale: 1/24
Modifications / Extra Detailing:
EXTERIOR
Turn signal indicators and washer fluid nozzles sanded off;
Modified Lotus Espirit lower side sills integrated into body;
Lotus Espirit rear wing added utilizing modified Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR uprights;
Modified front splitter used from a Ferrari F40;
Rear underbody diffuser added from a Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR (heavily modified);
Exhaust exits, wheels and tires used from a Porsche 911 GT3;
Brake discs and calipers also used from the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR;
Lower driving lights added (Grief lenses); and
Aluminum mesh inserted into front intake (a.m.r.i. Model Supplies).
INTERIOR
Detail Master flocking used to replicate carpeting;
Studio 27 Carbon Fibre decals used for rear waterfall, centre console, upper door panels and dash face;
Titanium Metalizer paint used for the seats, then dusted with white chalk dust; and
Tamiya X18 Semi-gloss black used for the dash and convertible boot.
Paint: Tamiya Fine Surface Primer, Finisher’s Prost Blue, Model Master Magnesium Metalizer all sealed under Finisher’s Automotive Clear.
DECALS
The graphics are from Speedline’s CART Reynard series, in particular, the Telefonica car of Oriol Servia; and
The Honda decals are from the Tyrrell Honda 020 Formula One car.

Yes, I agree...but it's done now and I can live with it...It actually doesn't look as tall in real, as oppossed to the pics.

I appreciate your comments.

Hello Phil....Yeah, the one and only!!! This Honda is the only model I have built since my MP4/6. I've been in a slump for a while now.

Thank you all for your warm welcome and comments, positive and/or negative. I wish more people would have more constructive critisism, I find those help a builder the most.

Is this AKA BILLGTP (R) or on F1M?

As a matter of fact, I have just done an update to the website last night. I will try to get another one done in the next day or so too.

The lesser known Bill...Via...GPMA (member since day 2), F1M and various sundary Yahoo modeler groups.

Allright. I'll drop by and take a look. I went by yesterday, but must have been before you updated...DOH!

As for comments...when you've just about perfected the process, critisisms will simply be personal viewpoints. I find the harshest critics to be oneselves. So, to coin a popular TV show...

"Tell us what you don't like about your model" ;-)>

Good to see you here too, as well as F1m, this is really a great forum for feedback on models, I learn something everyday, but then, I do have a lot to learn!!!

S2000 is beautiful, which I suppose is to be expected! Look forward to seeing more.

Wow that's great. It has that clubracer look, and I love it. Nothing more to be said about your technical work on that model, as it's built just immaculately. Gorgeous!

Replicate a model to that level (MP4/6) it's a sign of devotion to realism.
Now your S2000 is a poem to creativity... all in all you're a great modeler.
Hope to see more of your work and your opinions on mine.
And again Welcome to AF <--- how many time have you read this? LOL

So Bil, does this mean the down time is over?

Inspiration has arrived???

Or were you just waiting for the Tamiya Modeling issue to hit the stands?

Regardless, it's great to see another one of your builds!

AND, it gives me hope that some day I'll find out what happened to that Jordan! I need closure! ;)

Cheers,

Oliver

The first thing I have to do is organize my model shop, it has kinda become a storage room, then hopefully I will get back into the groove!

I will definitely get the Jordan done, so hold tight in the mean time!

Heh, no worries :) Every once in awhile I go back and look at the build up and just think, wow, that's looking great so far! and wonder about what the finished item will look like.

I take it this S2000 is one and the same as the clean little one sitting on the table on the workbench from ages ago? I wondered what you were doing building something so straight forward ;) heh, I should have know better. If I haven't said it, it's very pleasing to the eye!

Anyways, Godspeed the clean up!

Cheers,

Oliver

AND I just noticed Alex Kung updated his website too! What's going on in Canada!?!?! ;) It's a good week!
