Just 'cuase i'm goofy, and a newb - what can i learn about tuning up my 94 RS 2.2L automatic? Specifically im looking at getting greater fuel economy, and then getting off the line faster - i'm not worried about top speed at all. Also, things like body kits (almost non existant i imagine), adding driving lights, etc. (yea, so i'm a wannabe)

I'm on a limited budget, so most of what i think about (eg, turbocharger) probably isnt worth the cost to me, but i want to hear about it nonetheless.

Oh, and the only work i've done on it myself is replacing the air filter and recharging the A/C - so explain to me like i'm a clueless wife ;D

Also, if you can point me towards some good literature on the subject (magazines, reference books, etc) that would be good, too!

www.v6z24.com, the haynes manual, and www.jbody.org

I would suggest you to either swap a 3.4 or a 3.1 and a standard in that hunk of junk and get out of the 18 second range. You will lose feul economy after you modify beyond the regular Intake, header(or headers incase you swap a v6), and exaust.

Ok, some more specific questions - how is the stock exhaust system on the '94? Would i benefit from a header and exhaust piping? what about the catalytic converter? Also, the '94 isnt fuel injected i dont think, so would i still benefit from like a short ram intake system? or am i better off just getting a K&N filter for the stock intake?
