Anyway, the PGM-FI light comes on to tell you that there is something wrong with the car, usually it is something small like an O2 sensor, but to find out what is wrong you will need to turn the car on then check the ECU (computer) under the passenger seat. The ECU will have a couple of LED lights glowing which is actually a code that helps you determine the cause of the problem. Here is a link that will help you read these codes: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=236249 Unless there is a major mechanical problem, your car will continue to run because the ECU will automatically switch to a default setting if there is something wrong with one of the engine sensors. Hope this helps! cvcc_wagon 07-13-2004, 10:19 PM Unless there is a major mechanical problem, your car will continue to run because the ECU will automatically switch to a default setting if there is something wrong with one of the engine sensors. exactly, you will just get bad gas mileage from the default setting vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
