Finally, I have managed to put some pis of my latest project into the automotiveforums. The body is painted with Tamiya TS-47 chrome yellow and I use the MSM Creation Stradale body kit and the Acustion Detail Set.
The interior will be flat black/flat yellow.

Please comment on this Build.

Now the pics:

Great color scheme! :sunglasse :sunglasse

I think this may be the best color for those Stradale stripes to look their best.

I agree!

The MSM transkit is very nice, I picked it up to do this car too.

The support braces under the window are made out of carbon fiber on the real Stradale, not aluminum, though.

Lovely colour, as said before!

The whole thing looks superbly well done!
Will you be clearcoating over those decals?

Ciao

but, your roof decal and trunk decals are backwards.

I know, thatīs why I asked for some help to make that mistake up after the decals got too sticky to the body. Anyways, I think I will need to stick with this. My mistake and believe me how angry I am with myself about this mistake.

I also know that the sticks inside of the back-bonnet are made out of carbon fiber. I had problems with the cf decals of STUDIO 27 so far. They didnīt really work up to now. But I give it a second shot to make this build as realistic as possible. I also want to re-do the back-bonnet because the window is not clear enough (= a little dirty) in my eyes.

I will post pictures of the interior as fast as I have some of them... the seats are almost finished.

I donīt think that I will clear coat over the decals since I had bad experiences in the past about that. I had clear coats ruin my decals and make them look a little "wrinky". So I figured I will just go ahead and polish and wax the body a couple more times.

OH!. I am NOT sure, but you can try Microsoft decal softner solution to break the bonds between the decal and the paint.

Thatīs kinda a good idea, but the problem is that I will need that decal again after I got it off the roof. Donīt know, where to get only the decals from, when I wonīt be able to reuse the stripe. As I live in Germany itīs not that easy to get a hold onto just the decal. And its a money issue as well.

So unless there is no at least 99% way of getting the decal off and reuse it, Iīll think, Iīm bound to my screw up.

WOW!!!
thought i'd throw up if I had to see 1 more Modena, but this one is quite unique. The yellow looks really great and the fact that it's a Stradale makes it all the better!!

Great work, keep us posted!

This car looks too good to leave the stripes on there backwards.

I have an extra set of MSM decals that I'll send you to fix this car.
I didn't use them on my Stradale spider build.

I've scanned my decal sheet and can print out a new set if I mess up when I build my Stradale coupe.

Check your PM :)

Finally some update on the Stradale. After I finished my Le Mans context entry, I decided to get back to this beauty. I took the "wrong done" Stradale stripes of the body and started to put carbon fiber decals onto some parts as the rear engine hood and the diffuser. I eventually will need to put some gloss onto it to make it look better.
I also started to carbon fiber the interior. As I wonīt put mesh where the rear lights are situated (as it is with the original Stradale), I decided to put Studio27 carbon fiber decals there, as it happens to look like mesh somehow.
Slow progress, but Iīm getting there. And I thought Iīd share. Please comment...

Looks good!
I like the cf rear grill, though using the same cf as the cf parts may cause some confusion.
I considered using some 'other' scale CF for this effect, but I may just get some of the S27 stuff. (is there a US source, maybe Scale motorsports?)

I thought this was a dead thread...
can you fix the first batch of pix?
:p

Now some update. Since the spring arrived in Germany, I didnīt spend too much time on the project. But I used the time to correct some mistakes I made earlier (f.ex. the Stradale Stripes and the carbon fiber rear bonnet). I also managed to clear coat the body.
Many thanks to CADGuy, who sent me another set of Stradale Stripes, since I messed the "Stradale job" up in the first place. But I found out that the Decals that come with the MSM Creation Set are incompatible with Decal Setting Solution. Unlike the Decals from my "Map of France" BMW M1 they just dissolve, when you apply the Decal solution. I found it out the hard way, so beware.
But now some pics of the clear coated - not yet polished neither waxed body.

Now for the mirror. I used carbon fiber decals on it. They still need to be cleaned up and clear coated.

Looks like it is coming along nicely, yellow is always good on Ferraris. What are you using to resize your pictures? It leaves some nasty jagginess.

right now the pictures are not resized, itīs just my stupid digicam, no good quality, but Iīll work on that problem... promised.

I did some work on the interior, flocked the floor and started on cf-decaling the drivers seat. Actually Iīm still not sure about the color scheme. I might give it a second thought.
I also started with the engine. Iīll post some of pics of that later.

Finally some update. Iīm close to get this one finished. Just some more body work and and the wheels as well as the last touch ups on the engine to do.
Compared to the Stradale conversion of Alex, mine wonīt be as detailed. I tried to replicate the actual car as good as I can with my abilities. So enjoy the pics and let me know what you think!
