get ready, this is a tuffy,

-Car runs hot even when moving (3/4 of gauge)... gets hot quickly almost spikes
-chokes and almost dies after medium to heavy acceleration
-fuel smell cold
-exhaust smell when warm
-problem only in gear
-only since rainy weather after long hot spell...

recently replaced plugs, wires, coils, fuel filter and fuel pump... cannot test fuel pressure or plug in diagnostic tester (car too old)

what the heck is going on?

somebody out there must have had this problem...
