Howielong 07-11-2004, 12:42 PM Looks good. You don't see them much here. chinesechickens 07-11-2004, 12:59 PM what do you mean "claybar"? :?:? could someone please tell me what "claybar" is...? jswillmon 07-11-2004, 02:22 PM could someone please tell me what "claybar" is...? "Claybar" is used in 1:1 car detailing/cleaning. It's used to remove contaminants from paint, as mentioned above. Here is a link the the Type i used when i worked in a detail shop. http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Z-18 definately would not have much of a use in modeling. youngdrifter_x 07-11-2004, 04:13 PM So, clay bar-ing is not necessary? Okay coool. Thanks guys. nis.k.a. 07-11-2004, 04:38 PM Not unless it's been driven a couple thousand miles... On a side note, I just claybar'd my real car. Thanks I think you could try to use compound to rub the black off from the pink? youngdrifter_x 07-18-2004, 05:18 AM what i did was i sprayed some pink on a cotton swab (q-tip) to cover it up then the black started smearing!! I was like =-o...AHHHHHHH...then i used the other side and took off the black paint...it was weird.. i still dont know what happened but it did...I still have some spots...but not as noticable. I need to go pick up some compound. This will be the first time i use it. Thanks joecwlaw for the reply joecwlaw 07-18-2004, 02:47 PM np dude. hope you can fix it with the compound :) ShOrtyOC714 07-18-2004, 03:25 PM You can use some tamiya smoke paint and paint the tails.
