DJ_Merle 07-14-2004, 01:27 PM used aluminum piping, u can usually find it at ur locasl hobby shop, thas where I got mine. then cut it with a small size pipe cutter and then burred it down. DJ_Merle 07-14-2004, 01:31 PM my firts two-tone interior, it was a success! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Picture_126.jpg DJ_Merle 07-14-2004, 06:35 PM I started the seat and the seatbelts, good so far, but I am stuck on two things: 1-make them sit so it looks relaxed 2-how to cut the seatbelt holes on the seat. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Picture_132.jpg Sigmaman 07-14-2004, 07:28 PM Thats lookin' great man.You could drill holes then use small files to open up the seatbelt holes.Thats how I would do it.Maybe tiny drops of glue in th right places might help the seatbelts look better.Anyone else got any ideas? krebs128 07-14-2004, 07:33 PM use a dremel power drill to open the holes in the seat. you might find one laying around in your garage or a friend might have one. they're kinda expensive to buy. the interior is coming along, looking real nice!! supratuner 07-14-2004, 09:10 PM all i can say is that your project is coming along very nicely must be one of the best projects on AF right now DJ_Merle 07-14-2004, 09:23 PM hey guys! thanks for the comments, my bro let me use his dremel, got the wholes done, painted it partly, jus gotta do the second tone and finish two other seatbelts and Im good to go! DJ_Merle 07-17-2004, 05:26 PM Hello again, thank u for the wondeful comments, you guys are keeping me up to do this model, I have these rims, they are mugens, but I think they would look really nice on the RX-7, they look a tad bit like the Agle Minevas from Speed Star Wheel. Help me out on this one! the wheel has not yet been installed. http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Picture_149.jpg SchuberT 07-17-2004, 06:33 PM looks good to me DJ_Merle 07-17-2004, 06:35 PM then they're goin on! supratuner 07-17-2004, 06:37 PM i like those wheels, are you gonna leave them that color, or paint them a bit different DJ_Merle 07-17-2004, 06:42 PM Im paintin them chrome DJ_Merle 07-20-2004, 05:15 PM finished painting rims http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Picture_157.jpg Apexi_N1 07-20-2004, 05:21 PM how did you paint them chrome? SnakekanS 07-20-2004, 05:26 PM I gotta comment on the seats, they look real nice ! DJ_Merle 07-20-2004, 05:28 PM thanks about the seat, I painted it with a chrome polish paint. u can find it at like any hardware store that sells paint (Home Depot) DJ_Merle 07-20-2004, 09:09 PM rear-left wheel installed http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Untitled8.jpg supratuner 07-20-2004, 10:01 PM damn i like those wheels DJ_Merle 07-21-2004, 04:41 PM well, I did the kandy red on the body u guysa be the judge, in a moment I will be going to get a few supplies to do the panel lines etc, and then give it a clear coat! http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/132388Picture_167.jpg JDM-AE86 07-21-2004, 04:55 PM IMO, I really think you should've left the rims white, or atleast bronze. Chrome is just too...well tacky especially for Mugens. If you dull down the color alittle bit, they would definatly look way better, but thats my own opinion, its your model and you make it the way you like, but everything else on this model looks great. supratuner 07-21-2004, 05:05 PM damn that car looks good, i cant wait to see some pics of the candy apple with the chrome wheels, hhhmmmm tasty DJ RaYgU 07-22-2004, 01:43 AM IMO, I really think you should've left the rims white, or atleast bronze. Chrome is just too...well tacky especially for Mugens. If you dull down the color alittle bit, they would definatly look way better, but thats my own opinion, its your model and you make it the way you like, but everything else on this model looks great. I agree. IMO it would definately look alot better if they were dullled down and not so "bling bling shiny". Cant wate to c more from this! skypie 07-22-2004, 02:17 AM Nice Color man! The Brakes are overkill for a stock body but Its all good! willimo 07-22-2004, 02:26 AM Do panel lines after the clear coat, so if you make any mistakes you can polish it off. Panel lines should be the last of all the body painting. Right? This is what I understand, but I do not do panel lines personally. Someone back me up. Otherwise, this is a great model. Love the color. Don't care for the Mugen rims on a non-Honda, but oh well... can't please anyone but yourself.... and don't mind me about it anyway, Honda purist needs a sock in the head from time to time. Nice Color man! The Brakes are overkill for a stock body but Its all good! What? Brakes can NEVER be overkill. Power is nothing if you can't stop it. skypie 07-22-2004, 02:48 AM are you planning to add on any mods to the engine? @ Willmo True... I see you're still holding your Cusco RX7 Hehehe... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
