Installing rear bumper cover98chevycav 07-06-2004, 07:45 PM Has anyone installed their own rear bumper cover?? I have a 98 Cavi and poor Cavi needs a little makeover, is this a difficult do-it-yourselfer? Thanks, J 5150cavy 07-07-2004, 08:13 PM Its not that hard to replace the cover, there is 3 screws in the trunk area, on each side, and there are 2 push clips under the car. When u get the bumper off u will see that there's a bracket on the bumper that looks like a L on each side there will be 2 more screws and these will come off. U will need these for the new bumper. I'm not sure but i think the only tools u should need will be a 10mm socket, a phillps screw driver, and a set of needle nose pliers. I'm tryin to get as much cosmetic work done on my own as possible. I gotta get my baby lookin decent again. J vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
