information about beetle clubs...

If anyone has any information about beetle organizations/clubs that would be great if ya could hook me up. I just want to start meeting some people in the collection of these automobiles.. to learn more about the one I have. It has a great history in my eyes.. sentimental value alone is amazing.. but really don't know how many out there are comparable to the one I own. Are there a lot of all original VW bugs out there? And what has to be done to put this thing on the road full time? Spoke with a guy I met and he said that fuel lines should be changed first...??
