Hi, I have a 91 impulse xs and ocassionally it won't start and has no power at all. This happened once when i was leaving the office and i tried it no more than 5 minutes later and everything started, with the clock reset.

Also, occassionally driving, the car acts like it is about to turn off for a split second, the radio dies, and the power goes out. But then it returns to normal.

So now, my car is dead in the water and still has no power.

Could this be a ground problem?
Can anyone help?

clean and tighten the battery terminals first.

i would change the battery. After cleaning the terminals

do you have any problems with the ignition when you are starting it up?
