2 questions bout 01 SEdreamnexus 07-05-2004, 03:58 PM i have a 2001 SE (automatic) and had some probably really stupid questions: 1. i wanna make some upgrades like ecu and cool air intake, but have no idea how to do them. anyone know how i can learn? 2. is it bad for my engine if i red line it (its an automatic), i only do it when i have exams and i'm stressed out? thanks fugiot 07-05-2004, 04:38 PM 1. Go to a local shop and ask about the ECU, but you should get some instructions or have a friend help you with a cold-air. Make sure that you WANT a cold-air though. You don't want to be driving through a puddle and have your engine take a big gulp of water....ouch. 2. Yes it's ok, that's what the redline's there for. You just won't be getting the best gas mileage. dreamnexus 07-05-2004, 04:44 PM what would be a good mod to increase hp that doesn't cost too much? fugiot 07-05-2004, 04:45 PM well, how much? what's your max price range? dreamnexus 07-05-2004, 04:49 PM like $300-400 fugiot 07-05-2004, 04:57 PM Well, for that price range I'd probably go with headers. A good 12whp gain. Try to find some HotShot headers. They'll probably run you about $450. If you want go cheaper, just get a nice Short-ram intake from HKS, AEM, or Hotshot. sr20odee 07-07-2004, 07:13 PM don't let these classic owners scare you.. cold air intakes are safe as long as you dont go puddle diving matt- www.b15sentra.net fugiot 07-08-2004, 04:08 AM don't let these classic owners scare you.. cold air intakes are safe as long as you dont go puddle diving matt- www.b15sentra.net Haha, it's just something us Coloradans have to worry about constantly  vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
