7-days rush work custom Firebird 90% finsihed many pixtsuchiya 07-04-2004, 09:42 AM OOOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOD............><~ :banghead: I'm hardly concentrated in one particular project......I m sorry about that. Anyway,I have a strong desire to finish this Firebord 85,one of my most favourite American car, first. progress is rushing ,rushing and rushing. It is not a detail bulit, with normal polishing,2 tone colour body, and my original custom design. This is a ARII kit which does not has fitting problem,as it is a simple toy kit.The moulding is poor like AMT and the plastic is crispy like biscuits. I have replaceded the rims by Fujimi product ,and it should suit the car. If you like or dislike it,plz also leave me some comments~thx everyone. :icon16: http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0169.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0168.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0165.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0163-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/64722RIMG0158.JPG GvEman 07-04-2004, 09:59 AM looks nice:) awesome with a custom body kit for a firebird:) 351Cougar 07-04-2004, 05:19 PM Pretty cool lookin GTmike400 07-04-2004, 05:39 PM You asked even if we dislike it to leave comments... Totally different, right? I hope so... :naughty: http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/64722RIMG0172.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0174.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/64722RIMG0175.JPG Guess the way that I creat the dark blue splashs. It's very easy, even a kid can do it and just need little efforts. This is my first time to try this method. The effect is ok I think. labandabonnot 07-05-2004, 09:02 AM The car of the Tiger! It's not paint... pieces of dark blue decal? thin dark blue painted tape?... Put in the toaster?.... :dunno: :D Tommycool666 07-05-2004, 02:12 PM Dark blue elecrtical tape and you shaped it.? Tommycool666 07-05-2004, 02:15 PM well i know it isnt paint cuz i can see that its raised above ur orange . unless you did paint it and you masked off the whole car and then took a razor and cut out ur shapes and then shot it with the dark blue but the paint built up on you and thats why it look like a bunch of stickers or tape GvEman 07-05-2004, 03:23 PM looks good:) and diferent;) loks like i tiger:P tonioseven 07-05-2004, 08:36 PM Excellent work once again!!:sunglasse SonyMobile 07-05-2004, 08:41 PM Very unique! I kind of like it, what was your painting technique? tsuchiya 07-05-2004, 09:15 PM well i know it isnt paint cuz i can see that its raised above ur orange . unless you did paint it and you masked off the whole car and then took a razor and cut out ur shapes and then shot it with the dark blue but the paint built up on you and thats why it look like a bunch of stickers or tape It is troublesome to paint it and the effect is poor. I use decal to creat the dark blue patterns. There is a kind a blank decal which is B5 size and able to print by laser printer. I just cut out a piece of it and directly spray Tamiya Dark Blue oil on it. After the oil dried,I just ramdomly cut it into tiger patterns and paste on the car. Owing to that kind of decal is relatively thicker than tamiya or other mass porduced decals. It is suggested to use decal softer especially on the 'fault line'. This method is worth trying and cost less than hand paint. The only problem is what you have stated that its raised above orange,it looks like stickers if I didn't sprayed enough clear on it. Anyway,It is still better for mask and paint method,at least, for some lazy people like me. The brand of the blank decal is Modeler's,a Japan producer, and cost around $5 USD containing 2 B5 size blank sheets. tsuchiya 07-06-2004, 07:30 AM see this URL,have the clear decal picture. http://homepage2.nifty.com/b-soft/hardware/decal/decal.html (I bought the yellow one) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
