civic tranny

I'm switching out the automatic transmission in my 4 door Civic LX because the transmission slips sometimes. I'm switching to a manual transmission. Does anyone know what all I need besides the transmission itself?

Also, someone is selling their manual tranny from a 1990 honda civic and I'm wondering if that would fit my engine.
