good launch

Anybody got tips for a good launch? I've only been driving a manual for a couple of weeks now, I've gotten pretty decent running through the gears but I can't get a good launch to save my life.

At a reasonable RPM of course. I'm assuming we are talking stock motor/trans/rear-end.

minor engine mods (upd's, timing advanced, k&n filter), and a steeda differential, (true trac or something like that).

Eaton makes the true track. i'm told by a guy from DTS that it's a roadrace diff, not a dragrace diff. not that there's really such a thing as a 'drag race' diff, ideally you want a spool.

Uh detroit locker is a drag race diff. Any kind of locker is a drag diff...

It's in the steeda catalog, it just says tractech differentials, and theres a tru trac and detroit locker version, I've got the tru trac.

You need to find a good RPM to launch on. Just keep practicing until you find the right spot.
