GTI vr-6 vs teg GS-Rkcap122 07-01-2004, 09:53 PM as far as reliability and overall driving fun are concerned, assume here that the cars are manual and would be kept stock for a good while NISSANSPDR 07-02-2004, 03:09 AM Hmm...tough choice...but I'd have to opt for stock wise the VR6...gotta have torque! kman10587 07-02-2004, 03:22 AM Since you mentioned reliability, the GS-R is the obvious choice. Neutrino 07-02-2004, 10:33 AM Since you mentioned reliability, the GS-R is the obvious choice. We all know that the b18c1 is a great engine but so is the vr6. So as I said in another tread: Do you have any verifiable information confirm the fact that the b18c1 is more reliable than the vr6? c.stratton04 07-02-2004, 01:05 PM I think the styling of the GSR looks better and honda is known for its reliability. I don't know enough about the vr-6 to say much, but my friend has a 96 gsr and it broke into 14s with just basic bolt ons and has never had any problems. also it has great gas milage. MexSiR 07-02-2004, 01:24 PM Both are really close in performance, high 6s 0-60 mph, low 15s. If you were to modify it, the 2.8 liter would be easier to extract more power off. I like the teg styling better though. kman10587 07-02-2004, 01:46 PM So as I said in another tread: Do you have any verifiable information confirm the fact that the b18c1 is more reliable than the vr6? Just data collected with my own two eyes. kcap122 07-02-2004, 02:35 PM i was leaning the same way myself... the gti is pretty fugly CrzyMR2T 07-03-2004, 02:11 AM Just data collected with my own two eyes. lol....good answer. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
