Vortech's are SHIT on high revving small inch motors. Go turbo, you'll thank me later.

...So many choices boosted331 :banghead: . What would be a good setup to go more than 150 ft lbs/tq and more than 220 HP? (turbo) Also what compression should i do on my B16? I know this question has been asked but i dont feel like finding it, someone help me out please.

Ran a T3/T04E 57 trim and an inline pro manifold with hondata on a friends B16 EG, it made 300 horsepower and 212 torque to the wheels on pump gas, drove it every day for over a year. Stock block, unported head with new springs and retainers, ITR cams, no other mods besides those, the turbo kit, exhaust, and hondata. Went low 12's @ 120 on real street tires. That is personally what I would do. Your vortech B16 would make peanuts for torque, they overall have a very shitty power curve. Look on clubsi.com, there is a guy running a built B16 @ 350 WHP with a vortech, barely trapping 110 MPH. Makes peak torque at a whopping 8500 RPM's, do you really want a power adder on your car that adds no low end? Me neither.

Thanks boosted, that helps me out alot. I guess i over looked the fact that there was absolutely NO low-end torque :screwy: . I will for SURE be going turbo now after a little research. I will keep ya posted. Also is that his dyno on your Gallery
