My Suburban required two tries to restart. The problem was the fuel pump. It was bad. I notice before I sent it to the shop the fuel pump sounded louder than usual. Now with a new fuel pump, I can barely hear it. So if it sounds loud, get ready to send it to the shop. Changing fuel filter can help but it did not resolve the problem till I replace the pump.

Q/A jeff what did the dealer rip you for the replacement of the pump. I did it myself with lifetime pump, strainer, in line filter, and two hours of time and just under 100 dollars.

The Fuel Pump Was In The Tank, So The Gas Tank Had To Be Removed. As For The Cost, It Was Less Than $200 I Think. I Took It To My Automotive Mechanic Because I Do Not Like To Mess With Gas Tanks. I Did Not Take It To The Dealer. That Would Be More Expensive.

You did good then for under 200 I think I would have paid the extra bill to have someone else do it
