I got a 98 yukon and when you turn the key back one click the engine will still run but all the electrical will shut off (radio, dash, blower) can anyone explain this to me. I also have unplugged the auto start, maybe this is part of it. I unplugged it because I bought it used and I have no remote for it. thanks
If you turn the key back to where the key comes out it will shut off then

The remote starter is the culprit.

It is installed wrong and is recognizing the key in the run position. (Key in Run circuit bypass improperly routed.)

It is tough to see what kind you've got or how it is wired in, but to truly eliminate the problem you would need to take every wire out of the vehicle that was put in. At some place under your steering column there is a wire that was cut and bypassed through the remote starter. Not sure which one is commonly used, maybe someone else on this forum is more familiar with which circuits are used. (I don't install them, I only remove them and don't usually pay attention or I replace the entire ignition switch anyway.)

Hope this helps.
