many of the cars listed aren't manufacturers, they're nameplates such as chevrolet, saturn, GMC, and pontiac which are all GM name plates. lincoln is ford, acura is honda, dodge and jeep are nameplates of chrysler.

and what about volkswagon? mitsubishi, subaru, and so on?

Very hard question. Overall, though out history... I say Ferrari.

Ferrari, through the passion and legend.

As a car maker, it's either BMW or Mercedes Benz. They really have always made fantastic cars during their long histories.:)

No Porsche in the list  my vote would go to Porsche if it was in the list.

Well I voted for Nissan and with good reasoning :)

The poll just is not right. It needed to be manufactures only, but hell I did not make it just voted.

Some dupes up there. Like Dodge and Chrysler. You only need to put Chysler up there. Being I am more of a domestic guy I picked Chrysler. I feel they are the best american manufacture. I wouldn't know who to pick for imports.

When I look at some of the choices up there...some of those companies dont even make cars...like Hummer or Jeep. Whats up w/that? Hehehe.

Porsche, as it's the only company that hasnt recently made a half-assed car. Also, it keeps striving to reduce costs, which makes dreams mroe affordable for many hopefuls out there. 996T: Maranello pace at (almost) half the price? now thats something. Ferrari havent made any bad cars either but Porsche takes it. BMW come next, followed by MB although they are losing their way in certain manners

cheers,
jay
