What would you pick if they were offered to you?

Based on aesthetic, performance, brand, looks, whatever level you wnat to compare them on.

For pure performance and butt kicking...I'd take the GT.

For looks...I'd take the Gallardo...

gt for everything, power, handling, looks, and nostalgia. the original ferrari killer

GT will blow the doors of the other two. The GT goes 0-60 in 3.3 seconds, which is up there with the Saleen S7 and the Ferrari Enzo.

look at the numbers from actual tests. the ferrari does 12's, the lambo does 12's and the gt does 11's. the gt cleans house!

Yea, I liked C&Ds comparo of the GT, CS, and GT3.

The 360 is starting to age a little bit, and the brand new Ford GT seems to have set the mark all other sub $200,000 supercars need to beat.

I've never been a big lambo fan, ferraris have always been the cooler car to me.

The Ford GT is one of the few American cars the I would ever consider buying (if I could afford one...).

For looks and interior I would get a Porsche GT2 / GT3

Go sit in the corner, moron- quarter miles are about as important to supercars as ICE systems, i.e. they're not, stop insulting the maker's intellegence.

I would probably have a Porsche 911 GT3 over all of the above, tons of go fast and handling bits- a proper track car. The Gallardo would be my choice as a daily driver, the Ferrari for the badge.

I wouldn't buy a Ford GT if I didn't already have the others solely because I am against the car because Ford are cashing in on a design that isn't even thiers. If they had rebodied it I'd most certainly reconsidered.

Nicely put

A GT3RS would be top of my list, followed by the 360CS.

if i had the money...
i'd go find an original gt40 and persuade the owner to sell it to me...

how about if it were for the original 'classics' from these guys,
gt40 vs miura vs rsr vs 250gto(or is this too much?)

Well, if you wanted to compare the original GT40 against its contemporaries, you throw it against the Ferrari 330P4, the Porsche 908's, and you remember that Ferrucio Lamborghini was a dolt who hated competition.

I agree with you, I would take a 911 GT3 too or a 911 GT2. But since I only have these selections, I think it's important that people don't just start throwing out acceleration numbers left and right because there is a hell of a lot more to these cars than just acceleration. Think about it, buy a 2003 Cobra or 2003 EVO and drop in like $20,000 and you will smoke all three the cars in the comparisons. So to just say one of the cars in comparison is better because it's quicker is stupid. With that said, I would choose the Gallardo, it's absolutely beautiful, as are the other two, but to me it looks the best. Great performance and well built, instant head turner. To me, it gives me the most of what I'm looking for when I spend over $150,000 on a car, performance, please, like I said I can fix up a 2003 Cobra or 2003 EVO to perform better, what it gives me is attention, fun, and image.

well, i was kinda pitching them as icons vs icons rather than a straight comparison of contemporaries....

How many times has this been discussed and what always ends up happening?

As far as the comparsion goes:

Brand: Ferrari 360CS
Looks: Lambo Gallardo
Everything else: Ford GT

Jimmster man you need to settle yourself down. Statements like these are why people are leaving AF, and you being the scapegoat of them leaving. Your a cool guy bro, just dont lose your cool so much. He wasnt attacking, or insulting anyone's intelligence, just showing facts.

From what I think I have seen the Ford has some plastic in it....

Anything plastic looking on the inside for 150 thou knocks it out of the running for me.

People have got to learn somehow, I'm just launching the learning process, as opposed to granny-dragging off the line.

The 0-60 times are relevant, but how far a car will go over 400 meters is rather unimportant in this company, none of these cars were designed for that.

ya i feel what your saying man. i also realize that more than 3/4 of the drivers out there could care less about the 1/4 mile therefore it is irrelevant
