check engine code 01 no luck

I hope you guys have some adivse on this one. I keep on getting the check engine code 01 which of course is the oxygen sensor. I did everything to my car, I cleaned the throttle body, changed the o2 sensor, changed the cat, replaced the spark plugs with bosch plat 2( which you know did not make my car drive well so I switched back to regular ngk's). I reset the ecu and still after my car warms up the check engine light comes back on. I also checked the ignition timing and that is fine, good idle and all. I just want to know what's the problem. I know the plugs are running hot because when I take them out they are whiter than normal worn plugs so it looks like it can be running rich but I put a new 02 sensor, new k&n intake and my fuel delivery seems to be good b/c I know the injectors are firing right no misfire. Any suggestions?

when spark plugs have indication of running hot, that's sign of lean mixture and not rich. if engine runs rich it would shows up as carbon deposits on spark plug (blackish deposits).

running lean is very unusual for Honda engines, they set up to run rich from factory.

did you scan ECU for trouble codes?
if you did, what excactly trouble code you you got?

THe only code I would get is code 1= oxygen sensor---I know that a lean mixture means too much air not enough fuel and I can hear my intake trying to suck my air into the engine. What can be the problem. The idle is good and the accelaration is not bad. Either way rich or lean I know that is something wrong with the mixture and I tried alot of things already.

have you tryed to test O2 sensor circuit?
here are two pictures out honda service manual for code that you have.
there is little "but" on these pictures, they are for accord v6

Hi, last time when I check plugs in my 98 LX, there where whitish a bit too. But I have used regular gas and 5W50 oil??? Just experiment for oil consumption.
Week ago I found bad contact in spark plug wires and chage those to ACCEL 300+ Thindersport (b/c cheaper then Bosh and same price OEM), and some performance label....But you can just a check if no freeplay when boot on spark plus, or carefully squeeze a bit electrode inside a boots.
But my car now a blast, espesially when I fill 91 gasoline. And will wait 2-3 week before remove spark plugs for checking. I hope averything will be fine.
PS. Bosh is better for me.

BTW, when you change oil last time? Old oil may trigger emission problem too.

Sorry, forget one thing. Ignition distributor rotor. Replace if corroded tip. better for perfomance part, b/c OEM most shity desing I've seen.
Luck.

I will look into checking my ignition timing I know when I look at the timing mark there are three notches(the one in the middle is top dead center). I wanted to know what mark is the factory 15deg mark b/c I put it to the line closest to you when looking at the flywheel which I think is advancing the timing which I am not sure but read in the manual that over advanced ignition timing can set the code 1. what can be some symptons of a lean fuel mixture
