'97 Eclipse GST VS '03 Mustang GT2crunk 06-27-2004, 05:25 PM In a 1/4 mi. or on the highway, who do you think would win stock for stock? Also, both cars are manual. Savior1974 06-27-2004, 06:02 PM ................. Um....... The GT. kman10587 06-27-2004, 08:09 PM The Mustang GT should win both, but the Eclipse GS-T is better considering that you can get tons of power out of it for very little money. 2crunk 06-27-2004, 10:23 PM The Mustang GT should win both, but the Eclipse GS-T is better considering that you can get tons of power out of it for very little money. What is your definition of better? A '97 GST and a '97 GT cost about the same. It's just that one has turbo and one has a V8. Savior1974 06-27-2004, 10:32 PM well if you talking about the 97 gt, the GSTeclipse will probably take it but it will be a drivers race. But in a quarter mile, the gsx will take the 96-98 mustang definatly! (known from personal expereince). But both DSM's can't keep up with the 99+ GT's, but give us $500 and we'll hand him his ass. 2crunk 06-28-2004, 07:08 PM Just out of curiosity, how much HP does a stock '97 GST have and a stock "97 GSX? Chavez408 06-28-2004, 07:23 PM 210 2crunk 06-28-2004, 07:59 PM So is the only difference between the two AWD and front wheel? Savior1974 06-29-2004, 03:53 AM yup. 2crunk 06-29-2004, 05:52 AM ok, thanx for the info. NISSANSPDR 06-29-2004, 12:59 PM The GT for sure...it does 0-60 in like 5.5-5.8 while the GST does it in 6.8 2crunk 06-29-2004, 05:32 PM The GT for sure...it does 0-60 in like 5.5-5.8 while the GST does it in 6.8 Do you know the 0-60 time for a GSX? Chavez408 06-29-2004, 06:41 PM www.google.com Savior1974 06-29-2004, 08:19 PM Gsx is somewhere in the 6's. Like 6.4-6.7 i think. Joseph1082 06-29-2004, 11:41 PM yea, around there, GSX is higher than GST thanx to AWD. dbebesi 06-30-2004, 12:35 AM The Mustang GT should win both, but the Eclipse GS-T is better considering that you can get tons of power out of it for very little money. the 4.6 v8 doesn't need a whole lot of cash either (if not less) for large gains. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
