Hi All,
Happy to say that I did get the issue with the over-heating resolved. Thanks to everyone that gave me direction, greatly appreciated. My OBC will not retain information. Everytime I start the car I have the four blinking lights and I have to go thru the routine to set the clock. I believe that for some reason I am having power interrupted to this, is this "memory" powered by the SII board (batteries)? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Tom

one of the B+ KL15 [ hot all the time ] circuits feeds the memory for the OBC, radio, interior lamps, etc.., if the radio functions ok it's most likely the OBC it self since you can reset it each time.
NOTE: these early units had a seperate control unit in the left kick panel. there's a 0.5A fuse inside a cover on this C.U. that is replacable after removing the unit. ALSO check the rest of the fusesjust to be sure. the S.I. Board batt's are only for that little board......................................jb.

JB, Thank you. I bought the car without the factory radio. The previous owner had removed it and had an aftermarket radio installed. Is there a wire diagram available that i can run a hot to it? I am online now, if you have a minute IM me at tom_ferretti on yahoo or tomferretti on AOL. Thanks Tom

there's someone on the forum who has access to factory schematics right out of the 'ETM's. try a new post with that request, [all my info is @ work]
