Best Road Music?

So what's peoples favorite music to cruise, speed, etc. to?

For just cruising, I like some mellow mixes by David Holmes, Nick Warren, John Digweed, and Carl Cox.

For racing and/or speeding, its gotta be the likes of Slipknot, Korn, or Rob Zombie.

I'm more of the Vengaboys, dance/techno guy for driving. And people have to feel the music too. Woofers rock, but it sucks when they get too overpowering. The sound has to be nice and clear still.

Cruisin': Rap (preferably with instuments, like Everlast)
Normal driving: Dance, Vengaboys
Speed: Waldo's People - U Drive Me Crazy (a 200 MPH kinda song)

Everlast isn't really rap its more of rock blues. But God smacks Whatever and Awake are good songs so is Get your roll on, by big tymers.

Well, Ends and What It's Like are bluesy, but most of the rest of Whitey Ford Sings the Blues is rapish. I like DRE too.

Rap (Jay-Z, The Chronic, Snoop......) is good for driving irresponsibly to, but I like listening to Country when just cruising.

For fast Autobahn crusing there's nothing better than some good old classic (like Ravel and co.):bandit:

House/Techno on a daily basis for the highway and streets.

However, you all should try this: DRUM & BASS for those extremely spirited occasions--especially for amateur practice rallying or mountain road climbing. I can't seem to find a more fitting background music. I first got the idea from a japanese rally race video, and its been stuck with me since.

Well, this may sound odd. For some reason or another recieved two full CD's of classical music. For some reason, when I am on long drives, i tend to pop that in.

But for everyday driving around town, I listen to whatever is on the radio. Which happens to be like, KoRn, Limp, Rage, Deftones, Linkin Park, etc.

For just a nice cruse, I like to go with rap, otherwise im a techno man myself. I find that it depends alot on the mood tho:bandit:

I have a relatively good sound system, but when I go out it depends on where I'm going. If I'm looking to get noticed, I usually pop in a Single that Everyone will recognize and pump it up, but A lot of times I listen to Trance/Dance/House/Hip hop.
Occasionally, I use a Program like Fruity Loops to Write/Burn My own Trance CD. That's always fun. :)

Gotta go with BT, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk. Or try the song by Rob D called Clubbed to death (it's in the 2000 Maxima commercial when it's goin sideways on the salt flats). Fluke's Absurd is good, POD, Linkin Park, and Prodigy are also great. As mentioned before Godsmack, Korn, and Incubus are good too.

All the above is awesome road trip music.

I also love Rob Zombie. I have an MP3 head unit now so I can't wait to burn a few mixes for my upcoming road trip to Vegas.

The music scene=Piss Poor Wannabe's. :finger:

When I'm driving, it must be:

Fear Factory "Soul of a New Machine" to "Obsolete"
Machine Head "Burn my Eyes" to "The More things Change"
Pantera "Cowboys" to "Reinventing":They've done no wrong...well, let's
not talk about those Glam-metal days...cough, cough...
Down -Can anyone get enough of Phil?
MudVayne -good ol' fashioned shrimp-poop
Slipknot
SOAD -let's all remember to eat our veggies today

and anything else that's in that golden age of thrasher metal of the mid-90s

That's about it these days...and the King...Ozzy...he doesn't get much play-time in the auto, but he's got my utmost respect.

To that be-bopping, hip-gangster Bull-SH**...:flipa:

If you be-boppers were this guy.......:uhoh: :badass: i'd be this guy

j/k we all have our own tastes, but, still (LOL)...:monkeypis on you!

When I'm just driving and cruising around, I usually listen to:
System of a Down
Linkin Park
Rage against the machine
Shihad (now called Pacifer - cause shihad sounds too much like jihad)
The Feelers
Rammstein
Incubus

Why don't you try some Jamiroquai as well? great soundtrack when you're driving through some nice road, taking you're time to enjoy it...

Incubus is great too, but Make Yourself is the one I like best when I'm driving coz it has a more uniform flow...all the songs are connected in a way...too bad it doesn't last 3 hours...:jump:

But if you're driving at a track day, or just plain fast, the engines tune is the best, IMO!!
