I was trying to find a new EGR for my 98 metro with 5 spd trans. (They seem to be very proud of them since they go at about $90 a pop.) The part number seems to be the same for other years such as the 93 as long as I stick to the 5 spd trans engines however I have a 93 parts car with, you guessed it, an autotragic trans... now the dilema... it seems the automatic based engine has a different part number than the 5 spd type engine for the EGR valve, what I would like to know is whether I can use the EGR from my Automatic based parts car on my 98 5 spd based engine? Yes I'm trying to pinch pennies here, if I can, and $90 buys a pretty good amount of hamburger.
