Considering a standard 2 wheel drive vehicle. If I increase the diameter of my tires from a 265/70/r15 to a 265/70/r16 my wheels now have a larger circumference. How would this affect my spare which is still a 265/70/r15? Can I still use this smaller spare or do I need a new one? I seem to recall that a space saver spare is often significantly smaller than the other tires. Would this not be a similar situation?

Thanks

yes, this would be a similar situation, I would treat the 15" spare as you would a space saver spare and drive very conservatively for only a short time with it on.

Should be alright. My friend once used my 33" spare on his Jeep with 31"s. Just follow the spacesaver spare guidelines of no faster than 50mph and no further than 50 miles.
