right hand drive conversion

has anyone ever tried to do a right hand drive conversion on a crx or and early honda's. well I would love to do one on my crx but I really dont know what is involved... anyone????

I too agree, its a waste of money.

But if you're serious about it, the easiest way to do this is to buy a LHD front clip, and work your way from there.

If you want a rhd CRX, buy one from Japan. It will be cheaper and won't fall apart. Plus you'll get a glass top :)

well I dont have the money to ship a crx from japan, and also I couldnt but a car without looking at it first, it to me months to find my rex, I had to look at dozens, but the hole Idea of rhd really turns me on!!!

and why is it such a waste of money, I think it would be sick if it was done right, like the steering collum, customs dash, pedals, ect,

importing a jdm crx isn't much more expensive. here in canada they can be had not much more than a usdm one. look into importing one across the border if to save the hassle of direct japan to usa.

It would be cool until you grow up.. no offense. I just don't think the whole Honda crowd is working for me because all they want are little lights or flashy body kits, the pointless things (like rhd conversions). I just don't get it.

I have a friend with a Skyline GTR he imported from Japan. We were out drinking last week and he said he kind of wishes it was lhd because it feels too weird while driving American roads, on the right lane.. I just don't see why people will pay to make driving harder.

your 100% right it is pointless if it is your daily driver but for a show car it is uncommon, thats the point. I would never put a rhd in my s10 but for a summer beach ride I think it is cool, I already got the flashy body kit, it just makes a car stand out from all the factory civic, that ma and pa drive

its very hard to do since the front clips for crx's and civic's are getting very hard to find a friend of a friend has a 90 civic si with a rhd swap its a very sweet car but i would never do it on a ever day car. i will be doing it on 92 integra that i found for 500 bucks the da front clip with motor and all body parts is 1300 and to do the rhd conversion is 1500 with paint. but i will be installing a full 6-point roll cage with it.

After that long on the board people generally have a knack for people with realy cars and stupid posers without drivers licenses.
Anyway just to fill you in, last I head Ricochet's car was a black hatch with a sweet ass JDM B16B. Now does that mean anything to you? Do you know what that motor comes from. My instinct tells me you don't have a clue so go do a little research and come tell us what you find.
