legacy down on powercolin46 06-23-2004, 04:11 PM I have a legacy rs 2.0 twin turbo and i am having a problem missing on low revs between 1000-2000. There is just no power there but is not so bad when the secondary turbo comes in at approx 5000-5500. The rs is supposed to be 280bhp but feels more like 180bhp someone told me it could be the air flow meter. Please could some one help me. thanks col46 JigokuZ 06-24-2004, 03:04 PM Go get a dyno test. To make sure and see how much hp is lost in the drivetrain. msvguy 06-25-2004, 07:43 AM I have a legacy rs 2.0 twin turbo and i am having a problem missing on low revs between 1000-2000. Car has only 55k but owned by 70 year old man when we first had the car about 6 weeks ago the secondary turbo was seized but give it a few beltings and it cleared but the loss of low down power and the missing has been getting slightly worse. Any information you have about the twin turbo would be a lot of help to us thanks for the help. col46 msvguy 07-02-2004, 07:41 PM clearly you did not find any vacuum leaks? a seized turbo that does not sound good! how about the wastegate is that seized open? are you able to get hold of a repair manual? i think you can subscribe to an online Haynes workshop manual? what about the check engine light has that come on at all? do you have access to a scanner? you may have to do a manual code check if you do not. maybe those leads will point you in the right direction? let me know how you go? im quite concerned about the seized turbo. Julioluko 10-04-2004, 01:56 AM how does that happen its just a spindel with 2 bearings. were you running really rich and have that much carbon build up to stop a trubo? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
