I was on my way to work out today when I got passed up by a black Camarro SS. I was in my mom's car, so I didnt chase, but I was doing about 80, so Im thinking he was going about 95-100.

Anways, I exit the higway, and hes at the light infront of me. Im about to pull up next to him when a BMW M5 pulled out of a gas station up nest to him. The Bimmer reved the engine first, and I could hear the Camarro rev back. Man, between the two of those cars, it was loud as shit.

Anyways, the light turns green, and they are both off. The M5 had the nose for a good part of what I could see, and when they were both a distance away (about 10-15 lengths on me), the M5 took off, and walked on the SS. When he was a goo portion ahead, I saw the hazzard lights go on, and let out a 'hell yeah' for the M5.

The only down part was that the SS ran a red light, and someone in the passengers seat gave the M5 the bird as he drove by. Otherwise, it was bad ass, and a hella win for the M5.

It was a Camaro SS... not sure if there is a big difference between the Firebird and Camaro though.

Most people here will say that Motor Trend can't drive for shit, but they have managed a 13.1 @ 109.4 out of an M5. Also, claims of completely stock 12-second LS1's are all-over the web, but proof is few and far-between, so if you're going to claim what your friend runs, you better come with proof, especially around here. It's entirely possible, of course, but everybody seems to have a "friend" with a 12-second car everywhere, so...

damn that m5 hit 100 mph a whole 7 tenths faster then the camaro SS did.

peeple can doubt all they want, but ive seen it so it doesnt matter what u think. its annoyin to hear peeple run their mouth bout shit that dont happen but its not too hard to believe 345hp wit a 342 rear isnt too far fetched..if he ran a 12.3 or sumthin thats not believable....its responses lik the 1's i got that keep peeple from posting, because a lot of peeple hate what cars can do n get jealous... earlier i was think of 5 serie beem not m5 so it was a mistake...but a ss/ws6 n a m5 is a complete drivers race, end of story

I agree it is a driver's race, but those cars occupy two separate niches of the market. I don't see modded M5's all that often, but a modded camaro is a dime a dozen. Stock for stock, that must've been quite the sexy race indeed.

My friend (Spyder) got a K&N air filter for his car, comming in tommorow. An acutal mod, lol. The other night, we took the back seats out, and the spare, and the carpets, with the deep down hopes of getting it to go faster. He also put on two NOS stickers, and thats like, 300hp each.

I catch your drift about the camaro being a dime a dozen! But it sure is rare to see an M5 fixed up.......but when you do see it is like whoa! :evillol:
