Accord vs. Talon??pro3racer 06-22-2004, 02:34 PM My buddies got a 1992 Honda Accord, it has a CAI, chip, cherrybomb(that hurts performance so i thought i'd put it in). All i know is that it's supposibly a crate motor(definatly not stock), and is a 2.2L. The car is a 4 door. My talon is a 1991 eagle talon 2.0 dohc, non-turbo. It has a CAI, and catback exhaust, a chip, short-throw shifter, a performance wires and plugs. Both cars are 5-speeds, we're about the same drivers. I want straight line win. The talon is a lot lighter, i know that much. Edit: front-wheel only talon kman10587 06-22-2004, 04:21 PM It depends what's under the hood of the Accord. Stock vs. stock, I'd say you've got it won easily, so it really depends what motor he has in there. Big Joer 06-22-2004, 06:09 PM Unless he's got somthing major that you dont know about, I'd say its all yours. youngvr4 06-22-2004, 06:17 PM you should remove your a/c, you'll feel the difference in speed. like he said, it depends on what he has pro3racer 06-23-2004, 05:51 PM i believe it's a h22, but it might be a b18. Do you mean the air conditioning? I don't use it anyway, i just open the windows, how would that make speed? I know when it's on it slows your car down, but when it's off what does it do? youngvr4 06-23-2004, 06:40 PM i'm not 100% positive on this but its makes it lighter and i beleive it has somethig to do with the pulleys, i did it in my old esi and it was a big difference pro3racer 06-23-2004, 07:47 PM hmm, have to try that, is it hard, any other side effects(don't write the stupid answer for it:)). like would i have to get any new parts, or would it mess up my computer? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
