For a 2000 gsr, how does everyone go about smogging in california? I know the revhard kit is not smog legal, and uninstalling and reinstalling it seems unrealistic, so what does everyone do? Thanks.

Yeah, the greddy kit is smog legal, but i hear that it is a pretty weak kit, and basically a waste of money, so why not spend the few extra bucks and get a better kit...I just wanted to know what everyone does when it comes time to smog their cars, and have a kit that won't pass emissions, such as the Revhard kit. Thanks.

i dont see how a turbo kit is considered "weak". I am not saying anything about RevHard but when you hear the name GReddy the first thing that comes to my mind is a good product. I believe the GReddy comes w/ a 18G...which is not a weak turbo...an 18G is what goes on Eclipse upgrades. Who makes RevHards Turbo?

As for the emissions thing...I dont think I passed emissions BEFORE I had a turbo so I can help ya there.

just take the turbo kit off . . . or tke off the turbo, manifold, and intercooler use the charge pipe as an intake, and um . . . . drop back your stock injectors or soemthing and smog it, either that or meet some people and make some new friends at the smog shops, or find a little hole in the wall place that will pass you for smog.

yeah, i'll try to do that....I wasnt sure how people went about that, so i just wanted some opinions, how do you guys approach these people about doing a hot smog? this shop across the street from my house might do it...a friend of mine has a non-legal setup right now, and they passed it, so i'd probably go to them first...Thanks for the help.
