For your info, the 99 Jeep Cherokee manual and the haynes manual does not correctly identify the fuses in the inside compartment. There is a 10 amp fuse located on the left side that controls the electric fan, A/C, and transmission shifter. I went through a whole lot of BS to find that out. In fact it probably cost me 100 bucks for a 25 cent fuse.
