Juddering when pulling away

I have recently bought a Rover 216 se coupe and I'm experience a juddering sensation when accelerating from lowish revs in 2nd and fourth primarily.

I've owned a 220 coupe before hand and never had the same problem with that.

Any ideas to what it might be?

I dont think so, I was wondering if it's possible it could be the fuel pump or something, it doesnt happen everytime just every so often when i put my foot down????

Coupes in general suffer from juddering when cold. It is usually caused by a build up of carbon on the valves. and they are sticking so causing iratic running. Wjen the engine warms up, the valves don't stick. You could try something like redex which you just add to the fuel when you fill up.
