tranny is done

yeah well my tranny is done.. i think they said somthin about the main rod bearing... should i replace it or swap? $2000.00 to replace it and probably what 4000 to swap?

there are no rod bearings in a tranny, that is in the enigne. I assume you have the stock drivetrain in your car? those transmissions are NOT hard to find, look on www.car-part.com you should be able to get a tranny in there for a lot less than $2,000 and put it in yourself while you're at it

lol thanks... yeah it wasnt the rod bearing i got confused its the input shaft bearing... is there no way to replace it without having to just trash the whole tranny?

not sure I have only torn apart miata trannies, but the one thing i do know is that internal transmission work is expensive and a junkyard tranny would proy cost a lot less

ok so its not worth tryin to fix this one... time for a b18 swap! i was waiting for somthin to go wrong so i would have reason.. well here it is

You can find a perfectly working tranny from a junkyard for $300.. don't let those cockfuckers bend you over like that.
