My sunroof on my 1998 Camry won't open. It seems to be off track. Is this a repair that you can do yourself. If not, how will it cost for the dealer to fix it? Thanks

Most likely, if it's off-track, you won't want to mess with it. It's a job that's best left to a dealer service department. I really have no idea how much it would cost to have them fix it, although it could be anywhere from a 2 - 4 hours worth of labor. So it depends on how much parts will cost, and what the labor rate is at your local dealer service department.

Thanks. Is this a common problem with Camry sunroofs? What are some of the causes of sunroofs getting off track? The vent part opens but not the entire sunroof.
I have also had many problems with the drain holes getting clogged. The dealershipp keeps telling me that they clogged and this is just something I have to deal with. I live in a city where it rains about 65-70 inches a year so having a sunroof that leaks is a pain.

It's actually quite common with any sunroof, not just on a Camry. Once it's been used a whole lot, opened and closed, opened and closed, over time it will jump off track itself. If the drains have been clogged on yours, and the dealer tells you that you have to deal with it, then take it somewhere else that specializes in that kind of thing, and see what they can do for you. Having a sunroof that leaks in any region is a pain, although in your case it's much worse. Just take it to somewhere local, or call around and ask different shops if they do sunroof repairs.
