I'm getting really sick of people in probes who try and race me. I raced 3 probe GT's today and took them all soo hard. Probes are such POS's. There seems to be alot of people who think they are fast or something. Anyways, just venting.

Yeah, there is absolutely no imagination in the body styling whatsoever........apparently theyre unsafe coz lots of peeps i knew have been injured/died in those things :( , and theres nothing special about them in anyway whatsoever......have they even BEEN in a GT race?!

i know what you mean. apparently, from what ive heard from probe owners, they feel like they are really strong when they aren't. i beat some in my lincoln without trying, its just like ok come on now get a real car then we can race.

I have never seen a Probe GT in a GT race. At least I can say that my car has. :)

I think what I love most about probe owners are the way they rice them out and try to pass them as an import. I guess the Ricer tag is universal.

anyway he wouldn't race me i get revving at me but the Dump Valve going psht everytime i did must have indicated he would get raped ..... completely totally utterly raped .... or he has no sense and won't race a T5 cuz its a Volvo ... or maybe it was becuz there was too much traffic ..... well i have beaten C320's Maximas Celicas V6 Domestics and Preludes, the new impala (by about 5 car lengths when the turbo kicked in) and i sucessfully kept up with a Supra TT (then i skipped a gear for some god damn reason) if he doesn't think its fast bring it on ... I need a new car .... Thats it i'm getting a Silvia S15 :flash:

o by the way the Mazda MX6 is its cousin they share the same chassis and engines Ford and Mazda collaborated on it....

lol there is this guy on my street who owns a probe and thinks he is hot stuff. He speeds down my street (which is like a quarter mile straightaway) all the time, thinking he is so cool. I guess when they get the car they get some big EGO or something. Probes sucks period, and they go so damn slow.....:finger:

I so hear you guys. I see guys cruising probes all the time they put some rims on them an exhaust tip and think they have a hot car. A probe is just wrong, they are a poor excuse for a wanna be ricer, and too dumb to be classified as an american muscle. They just don't belong anywhere. I mean probes are not ricers, or american performance because after all both are swwet with muscle and fast, And both are bad ass. I mean people thinking that they can rice out thier probes is like me trying to put 18 inch wheels on my 70 Camaro with a Honda decal and saying it's a civic> Die Probes!

what are you talking about with a lincoln not being a real car? do you even know what year, model, i used to have or the engine and drivetrain layout is?

I had an '89 probe...never thought it, or i was badass. Now that i sold it for $250 and im driving a kia sephia...i really miss it.
1989 ford probe..it had automatic windows! and locks! my 1996 kia sephia doesnt =\ i need to lean over if i need fresh air...pretty weak :P

My last car was a 6cyl Olds Alero. I bought it brand new and the first week I owned it, some guy in a Probe wanted to race me. My Olds only had 200 miles on it, so I didn't want to hurt the engine.

When the light turned green he took off, but I wasn't really trying. He had a fart can on it, so I'm sure it had some kind of mods on it. Just seems like a waste to me. I've never considered a Probe to be worth modifying...:rolleyes:


Anywho, I've never officially raced. I just like hearing you guys talk about racing. It's so cute!;)

I agree that Probes are ugly, but I heard that the V6 models take mods pretty well...

I was lookin around on another board for Probe owners, and some of them had built motors running crazy ammounts of nitrous, I think one guy was in the 11's... mabey 10's? I don't remember it all tho...

Hmm... strange. In my town its not the probes running around like their all that its the little imports like the Spec v and civic si. I mean come on look at your stats, those imports are not fast and the probe is not that fast.

A Busa does 0-60 in 2.5 and I've seen one run 9.43-9.60 consistantly and it's got 175 bhp.

Sorry, I didn't know that it was a bike. I assumed that it was a car, sorry I'm not a bike savvy person, my mistake. That makes a little more sense. Why do you bother to post here anymore? You have only 32 posts, it's not like you have been here that long.

I hope the people on this board are not so ignorant that they think the type car has anything to do with how people act. Some people who drive probes think their all that, so do some of the people that drive all types of cars. It has nothing to do with the type of car but, with the driver. Even though, the car often reflects the drivers personality. Its usualy noted as a ricer mentality: little 4cyl+ boeing 737 wing+ jumbo muffler+ chrome rims= smoke all combination. This is not just limited to imports but, as noted by others, to domestics as well. So come on and refrain from senile posts and realize its not the car, its about the driver.

a shorter version of what i said is that like i said earlier, and agree with SVT, it's not the car, it's the driver.......And i'd like to know what soem of u consider attitude......if someone pulls beside u and revs their engine, telling you that they want to go, do u consider that attitude, maybe because their car isn't as good or something? It's only attitude if they make asshole comments.....like sometimes i rev my engine, and tell someone i want to go, even if i know they'll kick my bonnevilles ass...thats not attitude! Yes a Corvetter is gonna kick my ass, and yes it's 10 times a better car, but it doesn't mean i'm giving him attitude when i just wanna race....sometimes i just want to see a car like a Corvette pinned....and when you diss a Probe, you're dissing Mazda at the same time..:biggrin2:

YES..........the Ford Probe and Mazda MX-6 are essentially the same cars, just with different skins......Mazda took care of the technically aspects, like the engine, while Ford did more of the styling...

ok everyone, i have a 94 probe gt, i don't think i am hot shit. i know i don't have a really good car, but for the money i bought it for it is damn good. sorry i don't have thousands to throw away on a corvette etc. but i like my little probe, it has some power, has automatic everything, it has very comftorable seats, it looks good, sounds good, and has a decent audio system. and i bought it for $1600. so don't pull next to me and make a judgement on me cause of my car, and think you have to show me "who's boss". cause chances are you are have had much more time to make the money to buy your car then i had, im sick of people thinking i always want to race, based on my car. oh and by the way the probe is a good first car, you can throw some cheap mods on it, and it's just a good experience car.

haha this thread is funnie.. i like to see any of you come race my PROBE GT and talk shit.. i hold my own.. it may not be the fastest shit out there but come and test my probe i ll know ill give any you a run for your cash.. and wait till i get a chip and 15psi of boost then ill be in hi 13's.. so where all the talk of how shitty probes are?? yea i agree that some or them are just ugly and slow.. but let me let you guys son 1st gen GT's are turbo.. and they can run with mods.. im sure you seen my kills around.. dont be so onsided.. i got my car free and now its beats alot of cars and yes its a probe..
