Hello,
Well after 100000 miles the "Silver Mullets" brakes are chirpin. What causes the chirpin? I think its the rear ones, and they are drums. The truck is a 96 2wd xlt. Any ideas on what causes this, can I do it my self? Or how much at a shop? thanks

well, the chirpin is the metal part of the shoe against the drum.a new pair of shoes and prob a new drum (since you prob have deep gouges in them now) shouldn't be too hard for you to replace

well. chirpin on new brakes means the dum or rotor surfaces weren't cleaned up.new pads or shoes and turned rotors or drums are verry quiet.could also be back of pad against piston.
