Power Door locks.. somethings wrong!?!Mr. Anderson 06-19-2004, 07:02 AM Guys, My power door locks aren't working correctly. Drivers side works but doesn't unlock passenger door from inside. But my alarm will unlock and lock upon arming and disarming both doors. The weird thing is that when the car is armed... if you stand next to my car you can hear the door locks locking themselves over and over again for short periods of time on and off. Anyone know how to fix this???? funky 06-25-2004, 12:05 PM i am having the same problem....just drained my battery this morning....it must have been locking over and over last night enough to drain my battery....this sucks....anybody have any suggestions? NOS Buyer 06-27-2004, 02:28 PM The latch on the inside is usually jammed or caught on something. You tell it to unlock so it tries... fails, then tries again, tries again... and so on. until you tell it to unlock, then it will stop. What you should do is take the side panel off of the door and check things out. Mr. Anderson 06-27-2004, 06:24 PM The latch on the inside is usually jammed or caught on something. I'll definetly check it out... thanks alot. funky 06-29-2004, 12:19 PM well, i took it to a mechanic and he couldn't determine which actuator was acting up. could have been all 4, hell, it could have been the control unit, who knows. so i yanked the fuse! problem solved. we never needed auto lock doors anyways..... ;) mnhsmatt 09-06-2004, 03:53 AM I used to have a 1991 honda accord, and i had the same/similar problem, mine would attempt to lock over and over, or attempt to unlock over and over, until finally it stopped altogether. After careful inspection i found that the control module in the drivers door was bad. Rather than buy one new from the dealership (i was quoted 250), i found one from a junk yard nearby and paid 15 dollars for 3 modules (a few friends were having the same problem). I'd check that if i were u. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
