One of my speakers fell out of its hole in the passenger door. How do I get the door speaker grille off to repair the speaker ???

Any help appreciated.

Dave, You have to remove the door panel to access the speakers....the only way of removing the speaker grill is to access the tabs from the back side of the door panel.

Ouch - so next the obvious question - is it hard to remove the door panel ???? I saw another thread that recommended getting the Haynes book - is it really that hard ?

No its not that hard, but when I did mine I did go and get a door panel removal tool from auto zone....it helps you from breaking off the retaining clips.

It is not that hard. No special tools needed... You will need a flat tip screwdriver, but driver set andmaybe a phillips... Start by pulling up and removing the door lock and window assembly, unhook wiring, inside should be a 1/4? bolt holding the door on. Remove the door lock slider, just pops off. Under door handle the is another 1/4? bolt holding door on. Under the bottom of the door is yet another bolt. Pry off triangle panel inside opposite the outside mirror. Also pry off odd shaped panel surrounding the door release. Then simplt lift UP on the door. Should pop right up. Disconnect speaker wires and you are free...
