Can any one tell me how to retro fit a new 134a system form a R12 system on a 1987 Ford Ranger?

you should have it profesionally evacuated to remove all the old oil from r12. the oil from r12 & 134a are not compatible so it needs to be evacuated completely to work properly. you then must charge it with 80% capacity of the 134a
