Check Engine Light came on Went to Autozone and...Truballa2k3 06-17-2004, 12:22 AM got my codes checked. Basically the car would Jerk or Missfire, basically a really loud clunk everytime i hit 3rd gear, and everytime i break at a light. So went to autozone lady cheked codes said i need to replace all 6 spark plugs, and forgot name, some kind of sensor right there on top of the engine its pretty small has a hole in the middle and you connect 2 plugs into it. Well i replaced that which was a pain in the A** it was impossible to take off one of the screws. then i replaced 5 out of the 6 spark plugs i just couldnt figure out how to replace the last one on the right side all the way in. was being blocked by lots of stuff no room to do anything and it was around 11pm so i decided to wait till tommorow. Any tips? Also the lady told me it will take about a day or 2 days for check engine light to go off and for the jerking to stop and everything to go back to normal??? i have a 99 rodeo LS V6. rheteric 06-17-2004, 01:33 AM How to get out that spark plug: http://geocities.com/endre_rl/isuzufaq.htm#faq15 Also might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer and get the CEL to go off a little sooner. Truballa2k3 06-17-2004, 02:05 AM but is what the lady is saying right? That it takes one to two days for CEL light to go off and jerking/misfiring/clank to go off? or is it suppose to be an automatic thing Truballa2k3 06-17-2004, 12:33 PM throttle position sensor is what i had to replace by the way. Truballa2k3 06-17-2004, 03:16 PM any help please? also replaced spark plugs with bosch plugs. is that going to be a problem? i heard it was amigo-2k 06-17-2004, 03:54 PM There is a good chance that you will still have miss fire codes witht he new plugs. Truballa2k3 06-17-2004, 04:41 PM mechanic says i have to rebuild m y transmission after telling him what happened? amigo-2k 06-17-2004, 05:40 PM It is most likely an electrical problem. Bad battery, bad alt. or a bad range selector. -Ryan aharman1116 06-18-2004, 09:39 AM amigos right on, range selectors on all isuzu products (00 up) have been falling apart here recently. Also, get those bosch plugs out and put the ngk plugs in there, you will have better service out of them vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
