alright so here i am chillen at a light on a three lane merging to two lane road after an intersection. So im in the middle, some POS on the left, and the SLP maro on my right(the merging lane) so my fastmatic had to give it a shot, and i knew id lose but i went anyway.

I put it in 3rd cuz i usually get better acceleration, and mashed the gas when the light went as did the maro, i was actually leading him for the first 50-150ft, but he shifted up fast and burnt out going into 3rd, and just got in front of me before plowing into a pile of cars. it was fun.

HAHAHAHA CRX versus a Camaro! HAHAHA I mean I don't like Camaros at all but I mean come on that's just common sense you dont race those things unless your pushing somethin under the hood unless its a v6 version and then thats a cake walk but thats a whole other ballgame but you got balls for tryin' man.

my brother has a 2001 slp SS and its goes like a raped ape. he has done some more slp mods and he should be up to about 350-360 flywheel hp. I was in the car when he walked on a C5. I was drooling the whole time

That did sound like fun. I dont often get to see an SLP around here. Tons of Z28s and a few SS's but not the cream of the crop - a full SLP beast.

hold on did you say your started out in third? why did you do that, third from the line? did anyone else notice that? if you can start out in third especially in a race, you've got some major torque in that crx

He means that he put it in D3 since he has a slushbox transmission. Ive never driven an automatic (except in drivers ed) so I cant dispute that putting the car in D3 for a race helps, but Ive heard that it doesnt truly do anything.:(

LMAO.
WTF is an SLP Beast?
Just so you know, when you see a "few SS's" you're seeing a few "SLP Beasts". Same goes for Firehawks.
They're both made by SLP.
So you'd have an SLP Camaro SS or an SLP Firehawk....
It's just that normally, people don't include the "SLP" into the name of the car.

so what is the difference in a trans am ws-6, and a firehawk?

Trans Am WS6 is a Trans Am that is given a Hood, Suspension and a few other lil things (lower airbox, etc) by ASCD (American Sports Car Design). It comes with 325hp (rated)

The Firehawk starts its life as a Trans Am. It is tehn shipped to SLP (Street Legal Performance) where it recieves suspension upgrades, a new hood, new exhaust, new badging and any other "SLP Options" that are ordered. It's rated at 335hp.

my brothers is like that. His also has the SLP Y pipe, LM exhaust, CAI, airbox lid and bellows kit and some other stuff too.

I have the Loudmouth exhaust, which isn't stock on any SLP car. It's an aftermarket exhaust offered by SLP and it's damn loud.
I don't have the SLP Y-Pipe because I've got ones that came with my longtube headers. The "Bellows" mod, which costs like $50 is a waste of money in my opinion. You can goto HomeDepot and buy a Fernco Coupler (piping) in 3" and it fits on the same way. I do have the LSP lid though.
Only have an SLP Lid and Catback exhaust. All the rest is other aftermarket companies.

thanks for the looks guys, i tried, i race anything that lines up with me, and i feel as ive driven my fastmatic for awhile that when i accelrate in D3 over D4 i get much quicker acceleration, and i know im not the only one who thinks this, we had a topic awhile back about it.

So i had some fun for the night, too bad i wasnt rocking my olds cutlass supreme at the time, i think it wouldve been a closer race.
