let me say before i begin that i am incredibly loyal to nissan and am in love with the company and their cars...BUT...theres a few things they need to work on.

i was reading motor trend the other day, and they happened to have a review of both the 350z track and the new Acura TL...not A-spec. im already mad familar with the 350z abilites in both acceleration as well as roadholding. but anyway...im reading the article about the TL...get to the specs...and see that it pulls an UNREAL .89 on the skid pad. this is a front wheel drive car...how is that possible??

after i cleaned up the load off my pants, i became pretty confused. the TL, a front wheel drive sports SEDAN handles better than the Z, a rear drive sports car...which pulls a .87?. what the fuck? i really think they need to work on the cars handling aspects...i mean the freakning g35 sedan holds a .86. if i were nissan id be thoroughly embarrased by the cars lack of roadholding ability. i mean .87 is hot shit...but its no .9

ps...that must be a record for a front drive sedan....that is utterly disgusting.....also...the A-Spec pulls a .9.

go figure

Part of the problem with the Z is the tires. It's very 'undertired' from the factory, according to SCC. You could basically put the wider rears on the front. That's how much room is left.

Another issue is the tire choice. The G35 Coupe has a better tire in stock form, and can offer better skidpad numbers.

If you look at the Z as a blank canvas rather than finished product, it looks much better.

wait...
you just said that the fwd car handles better b/c it's pulls more g's on the skid pad?

magazine racer... ;)
handling isn't just g's on a skidpad.

you've got to consider everything else it does.

compare their acceleration times, skidpad #'s, and their slalom times/speeds.

then make your decision on the better handler.

keep in mind that a stock r34 gt-r skyline only pulls .88 on the skidpad, but would outhandle the car in question.

i think anyone who has driven or owns a 350z will agree that the handling is badass and has a great feel to it...

Well, in Top Gear (http://www.topgear.com/), the 350Z tied the Mazda RX-8 & the BMW M3 in a track test.

any car that manages to tie a BMW m3 in handling obviously has damn good handling capabilities
