I know this question has probably been asked alot, but i still dont know what to get. I probably want to get one of the Apexi Catback exhausts, but i dont know which one is for my 95 acura integra. I heard that the N1 was pretty loud but it sounds good. I dont want one too loud but i want people to hear me. Also I dont want one that sounds all ricey and like a fart can. any opinions would help

thanx

also want to lower my car so how would the ground clearance be?

the groung clearance depends on what type of kit you use, and if you lower it so far you have to change parts.

I've Said It Before And I'll Say It Again. Greddy!
Greddy Evo I Or Evo Ii. The Only Differance Is Stainless Stl. The Evo Canister Is Made To Allow Ground Clearance.

Here's (http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=451) a table of exhaust sizes with sound links to several of them including 2 Greddys and one Apexi. If you want quieter, the Apexi WS catback is a more subdued sound. It's cheap, too. :naughty:

Ground clearance all depends on how much you lower your car. Tell us what springs you're getting and what kind of driving you do, and we can help you.

Wrong link...this is a login page.

Yeah I tried to get to that site myself and even after I registered and read the rules and stuff, it still wouldn't let me view any of the site at all. There was even a big page full of "reasons" I wasn't allowed to go thru the site and none of them pertained to me. Lame...

Huh... I forgot you had to login. Lets see if this works...here's (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/apexiws.mp3) a link to the apexi ws, and here's (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/greddyevo.mp3) an EVO. For reference, here's a Skunk2 (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/skunk2.mp3) , Hytech (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/hytech.wav) , and a Comptech (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/comptech.mp3) . Hopefully those work.

the apexi dunk series sounds really nice. Deep, and quiet. Little louder at higher rpms. Look into the dunk megaphone. But all the otheres mentioned are good as well.

I would. Here's (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/tanaberm.mp3) a tanabe racing medalion. Also, the rest of mine (actually, of team-integra.net's). Greddy SP (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/greddysp.wav), Magnaflow (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/magnaflow.mp3), thermal r&d classic (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/thermalc.mp3), Mugen (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/mugen.mp3), SMSP (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/smsp.mp3), and type 1 racing (http://members.cox.net/teamintegra2/t1r.mp3). Maybe a mod could make these into a sticky, so we won't have the same question over and over.

awesome.. you're the man spiff! i think i'm either going to go with the type 1 racing or the tanabe racing medallion, altho, finding a universal muffler for type 1 racing could be quite hard to do.. anyone know where i could find that? or even if they make one?

I got the racing medalion by Tanabe....sounds really deep and awesome....kind of loud after 70mph on highways....if I were you I would get either Tanabe racing medalion or Greddy Evolution 2....

yeah i think i'll go for the tanabe racing medallion because that's the only one i can find that comes with a universal muffler application.. now i just need to decide on the size of the muffler... i'm thinking.. 80 mm inlet? might as well have it big enough to support 3" and i don't see it in a 70 mm size.. oh well!

How much does the Medallion cost....does it make more power than a Thermal....I know its not as loud and deep as a Thermal. Thats right you got an 93 Integ....WTF was honda thinking with the exhaust on that car

DeleriousZ
06-22-2004, 04:13 PM
yeah, i have no idea... such a stupid design.. the muffler's rediculously large.. and now when i put my exhaust in, there's going to be a big ugly pipe sticking across the back of the car, i believe you can find it for around $220 for just the canister, lower in some places when it's on sale or whatever.. i'm sure the full cat back doesn't go for less than $500, meh, you get what you pay for.

SpaceManSpiff

Well, the thermal is 2.25 inch piping (for the classic, the tubro is 3" and should not be used on NA cars), and the tanabe is 2.36, so the tanabe should make marginally better power. Modacar charges $499-569 for the tanabe depending on the aplication and $474-514 for the thermal ($499-555 for the turbo 3").

yeah, as in another thread.. i'm going turbo, and i don't really want to re-do all the piping when i do, so going for the 80mm would be my best bet i'd think eh?
